Ruger is a handsome 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier who is urgently in need of a loving home. He's a gentle soul, and the thought of him not finding a family is heartbreaking. He's currently at Kern County Animal Services in Bakersfield, CA, and has been waiting since May 19, 2026. With over 300 dogs at the shelter and limited space, Ruger is at a high risk of euthanasia. Companion Animal Protection Services (CAPS) is working hard to find homes for these deserving animals, and Ruger deserves a second chance at happiness.
