Sadie

Sadie is a 1-year-old, 45 lb female German Shepherd mix who is a sweet soul looking for a patient heart to help her bloom. Sadie's journey hasn't been the easiest. She was adopted as a young pup and returned just three months later because she was sick. The transition was so hard on her confidence that she nearly ran out of time at the shelter. We stepped in at the very last second, and now we are determined to show Sadie that "forever" actually means forever. Sadie isn't a "love at first sight" kind of girl—she’s a "love built on trust" kind of girl. Once she knows you, her "silly" side comes out! She is well-behaved and genuinely enjoys spending time with her favorite volunteers. We always tell potential adopters that first impressions aren't everything in the rescue world. Sadie may be bashful when you first meet, but she is worth the wait.

Sadie thrives when she knows what to expect, so a predictable routine is key to helping her feel safe. She is also more confident when she has a doggie sibling by her side to lean on for courage.

Sadie is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Sadie is house-trained. She is well-behaved with people she knows. She is more confident on walks when she has another dog with her.
