Rufus

Rufus is a resilient and loving 1.8-year-old mixed-breed boy, likely with a touch of Lab and Cattle Dog, who was rescued from a Texas kill shelter just in time. Despite his difficult start, Rufus is 100% sweetness with a gentle spirit, soulful eyes, and a sturdy frame. He is incredibly social and thrives in the company of other dogs, regardless of size, and has even shown gentle curiosity towards farm animals, like pigs. Rufus is a joy to walk, being attentive and eager to please on leash. He showers his people with affection, offering plenty of kisses and leaning in for cuddles. Rufus is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. He is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment for heartworm, a condition that doesn't define his loving nature or his gratitude for a second chance.
