Granby is a handsome 8-year-old Foxhound/Beagle mix who has experienced a lot of change in his life and is now seeking a stable and loving forever home. He's had a tough time with recent losses, including his human and his feline best friend, and is a little out of sorts. While he's in a safe foster environment, he's not quite comfortable with non-dog people. He's house-trained and walks well on a leash. Granby can be tentative with strangers entering the home, so he'll need a little help with introductions or a safe space like another room or crate when guests are over. To help him settle in, his adopter will receive 5 personal trainer sessions with a trainer who knows him well (located in the Falls Church, VA area, willing to travel within the DMV area).
Ideal Home
Granby would thrive in a quiet home environment without children and without a lot of people coming and going. He needs an adopter with Foxhound or dog experience who can provide confident leadership.
Ongoing Health
Granby is neutered and vaccinated. No specific health conditions were mentioned.
Training & Support
Granby is house-trained and walks well on leash. He is tentative around new people in the home and will need guidance on proper introductions or a designated safe space when guests are present. The included personal trainer sessions will be a great asset for his transition.
