Meet John, a handsome and energetic adult male dog who's ready to find his forever family! John was re-rescued from another shelter that was closing down. Before that, he had one previous owner. He was surrendered to Animal Control due to his high energy levels, so he's looking for a home that can keep up with his zest for life! John is a friendly boy who gets along well with other dogs and loves children. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but his tail starts wagging a mile a minute once he warms up, especially if there are treats involved! His DNA shows he's about 53% Catahoula, with the rest being a mix of hound and guard breeds.

John would thrive in an active home with a big yard where he can run and play to his heart's content.

John is up-to-date on vaccines, healthy, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

John is house-trained. He can be a bit shy initially with new people but warms up quickly. Treats are a great way to build his confidence!
