Cowboy is a resilient survivor, approximately 2 years old, who has endured immense hardship but is now ready to embrace a life of love and safety. He was found abandoned and bearing the brutal scars of being used as a bait dog. Despite the trauma, Cowboy has shown incredible bravery and is now receiving the medical care and support he deserves. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and is undergoing treatment for heartworm. Cowboy can be cautious with other dogs and may prefer to be the only pet in the home. He also takes time to warm up to men due to his past experiences.

Ideal Home

Cowboy may do best as an only dog where he can feel secure. He needs a patient and understanding home that can help him continue to build trust, especially with men.

Cowboy is heartworm positive and has begun treatment. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Cowboy may need time and consistent positive reinforcement to build trust, particularly with men. Patience and a gentle approach will be key to his continued adjustment.
