Joel

Joel is a friendly and easygoing guy who came to us with his sister, Pepper, after their family had to move and could no longer keep them. He's a senior gentleman, born on February 21, 2018. Joel absolutely loves meeting new people, receiving pets, and happily carries his favorite toys around. He enjoys tug-of-war games, cuddles, and spending time outdoors, especially if there's a little pool to splash in!

Ideal Home

Joel has been wonderful with young children and has a calm, gentle personality, making him a great fit for a family. He gets along well with other dogs and cats.

Joel is a healthy senior dog.

Training & Support

Joel is house-trained and knows the "sit" command. He can pull on the leash when excited, particularly if he spots a squirrel, but he has shown improvement. Joel enjoys stuffed and rope toys, and will try to convince you to share any snack, especially cheese! He does have a habit of trying to eat things he shouldn't, so it's best to keep toys and small items out of his reach. Joel can be vocal when something catches his attention, making him a good neighborhood watch dog.
