Jace

Hi there, I'm Jace, a 55-pound white and brown bulldog mix who is as sweet as can be! My favorite thing in the world is to snuggle up next to my favorite person and get some belly rubs and head scratches. I'm a smart boy and I'm already working on "sit," "down," and "leave it." I'm a very motivated learner and would love to learn even more commands – especially if treats are involved!

I love to play with my Kong filled with kibble or peanut butter, as well as bones and stuffed animals. Fetch is fun, though I don't always want to give the ball back, and tug of war is another favorite! I'm the perfect best friend, always happy to follow you around the house and just chill. I'm a bit of a goober and don't quite realize how big I am, often trying to hop in your lap just to be close.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home where I can be your one and only canine companion, as I'm not good with other dogs. My previous life involved being chained in a yard and experiencing starvation, which has led to some food guarding. While I love cats, they should also steer clear of my food bowl.

Ongoing Health

One side of my face will never fill in due to an old injury, but this doesn't affect my cuddly nature at all! I've completed heartworm treatment and am up-to-date on vaccinations. I am also neutered.

Training & Support

I'm potty and crate trained and walk beautifully on a leash. Due to past experiences, I do guard my food, so it's best to keep other pets away from me when I'm eating.

Transporation

I'm currently located in Hampton, VA, but I can be transported out of state to my perfect home. Please note that a transport fee may apply if volunteer transport cannot be arranged.
