Meet Daisy Duke!
If you’re a sucker for a pup with a wiggly little rump, a cute nub tail, and a heart full of love, congratulations… you just found your girl! Daisy is around 2 years old and 48 pounds, the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. She adores people and lights up anytime she meets another dog. Her foster sibling, a 2-year-old cattle dog, became her bestie immediately! Daisy occasionally lets out the cutest little hound-style howl, which makes us think there may be some beagle in the mix. She is medium energy, always happy to join you for walks, hikes, and adventures, but equally content to curl up for a cozy night afterward. Daisy was found at a high-kill shelter in Houston and was placed on the euthanasia list before we were able to rescue her. Now she’s safe, thriving in a foster home, and ready to find the forever family she deserves.
Ideal Home
Daisy would thrive with another playful dog in her forever home, though she’d also do just fine with regular social time and adventures with other pups. We aren’t sure how she feels about cats, but she does show a bit of prey drive for squirrels on walks.
Ongoing Health
No ongoing health concerns are noted for Daisy.
Training & Support
Daisy is potty trained and walks nicely on leash. She can be a little timid in the car at first, likely because she worries she’s being abandoned again, but with love and reassurance, she’s already learning those scary days are behind her forever.
