Hershey

Meet Hershey! This 5-year-old, 9.5-lb red mini poodle is a bundle of energy and affection. Hershey absolutely adores being close to his people and thrives on attention. He's a master at putting smiles on faces with his cuddly nature and playful spirit. He gets along well with other dogs but sometimes needs a reminder that his food is just for him. Hershey loves to explore the outdoors and is quite curious about everything around him, often darting around the house like a little rocket! He'll happily follow you wherever you go, always wanting to be part of the action. He's making great progress with leash walking and is motivated by treats and goodies, especially chicken and hot dogs.

Ideal Home

A home that can provide plenty of attention and companionship. A yard for outdoor exploration would be wonderful.

Ongoing Health

Hershey is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and dewormed.

Training & Support

Hershey is working on house training and currently uses pee pads. With continued patience and positive reinforcement, he is expected to master housebreaking. He is also still learning to walk on a leash, but is showing improvement. His food possessiveness around other dogs will need gentle guidance.
