Heidi

Heidi is a gorgeous girl, born on March 10, 2021. She's a breeder release who has made incredible progress in her foster home since September 5, 2025. She's come SO FAR, transforming from being terrified and shut down to now approaching people she trusts, offering kisses, and initiating play. At home, she's a playful, goofy, loyal companion, an absolute sweetheart, and the least demanding foster anyone could ask for. Don't let her German Shepherd looks fool you; Heidi is not a guard dog. She's cautious and still startles easily. She's not a high-energy dog needing constant activity. Her days consist of a daily walk, a couple of trips to the dog park a week to play with friends, and the rest of the time she's happy lounging on beds and watching the world go by from the window. While she'd love to play with the older Frenchie in her foster home, the Frenchie isn't interested, and Heidi is perfectly fine with that. She's also great with cats.

Ideal Home

Heidi needs a family with another playful dog, a patient owner, and a soft place to land where she can continue to feel safe and loved.

Ongoing Health

Heidi is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Heidi is house-trained. She is cautious and still startles easily, so patience and understanding will be key to helping her continue to build confidence.
