Bonbon

Meet Bonbon! This adorable 2-year-old Poodle-Chihuahua mix weighs about 13 pounds and has a personality as big as his heart! Bonbon is active, loyal, and incredibly devoted to his people. He might be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but once he feels secure, his loving and protective nature truly shines. He does have a tendency to bark when he senses someone unfamiliar approaching, which is his way of alerting his family.

Bonbon is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, children, men, and women. With a little patience, he quickly blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion. His story is one of resilience; he was found wandering the streets, dirty and covered in fleas, but his loving spirit remained intact. Now, Bonbon is safe and eagerly awaiting a family to provide him with the stability and love he truly deserves. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will always be thrilled to see you and stay close by your side, Bonbon might be your perfect match. He's ready to leave his past behind and embrace the beautiful life he's always deserved.

Ideal Home

Bonbon would thrive in a home that enjoys an active lifestyle and appreciates a loyal, little dog. Ideally, this would be a home with a securely fenced backyard. He would do best with a family that has an open mind and understanding towards the needs of rescued street animals, recognizing their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training would be highly beneficial, as would a high level of tolerance and patience for rescued pups.

Ongoing Health

Bonbon has received a spay/neuter surgery, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, and a Bordetella vaccine. He has also been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. He comes with a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Bonbon is not yet house-trained. It's important to understand that due to the large number of pets in foster care, providing individual house-training for each animal is not feasible. We invest significant time and resources into rehabilitating their health, emotions, and overall well-being.

• A phone/email interview will be scheduled if your application is approved or if we have further questions.
• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet-and-greet with Bonbon and his foster family will be arranged.
• A trial adoption period will be initiated upon agreement and signing of an adoption contract.

Transportation

Bonbon is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel. Transport to the East Coast and the PNW is available. A transport fee of $400.00, payable to the transport company, will be required from the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
