Omar aka Buddy

Omar, an adult male Basset Hound, is looking for his forever home! He was found as a stray in South Texas and was in a shelter for a long time before kind transporters brought him to the DFW area. He's a sweet boy who gets along well with other dogs, and we're still learning about his comfort level with cats. Omar is an intact male and is heartworm positive, so he will need some veterinary care. He's not suited for apartment living as he enjoys "talking" and sharing his thoughts!

Ideal Home

Omar would do best in a home where he has space to roam, as he's not an apartment dog. We are still determining his compatibility with cats.

Ongoing Health

Omar is intact and heartworm positive. He will require veterinary treatment for heartworm.

Training & Support

Omar enjoys vocalizing, so a home that can appreciate his "talking" would be ideal. Further updates on his behavior will be provided.
