Dora

Dora is a sweet young female Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who can be a little shy at first, but her shell cracks open in less than 4 minutes! While the world outside her kennel might seem a bit scary to her, she's very outgoing once she feels comfortable. She arrived looking quite sickly and thin, but she's learned to associate a 5-gallon bucket with supper time and is now quite the foodaholic! Treats are a huge plus for her, but wet food will always be her favorite snack. Dora is very dog-friendly and, though she doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet, she is incredibly sweet and loves to shower her people with affection, spending plenty of time in laps.

A home that can offer patience and gentle encouragement as Dora gets used to new experiences outside her comfort zone.

Ongoing Health

Dora was quite sickly when she arrived but has since recovered and is now spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Dora needs to learn how to walk on a leash. Continued positive reinforcement with treats and wet food will surely help her learn quickly!
