Bruce

Bruce is an approximately 8-year-old small mixed-breed dog seeking a calm, patient, and understanding home. Once he trusts his person, Bruce is deeply loyal, affectionate, playful, and enjoys curling up on a lap or relaxing nearby.

Ideal Home

Bruce needs a quiet home with very little company and slow introductions. He may bark, growl, act defensively, or snap when strangers approach before he feels comfortable. Visitors should be kept separate from Bruce in another room or behind a gate where he feels safe.

He would do best as the only dog in the home. He sometimes tolerates other dogs but may become protective of his person and go after a dog that approaches too closely. Bruce has not been tested with cats, and a cat-free home is recommended.

Training & Support

Bruce needs time, patience, and understanding to build trust and feel secure. He does wonderfully with his foster mom and foster dad and shows his playful side once comfortable.
