Meet Penny! She's a beautiful reddish-gold pit/hound mix with soulful, expressive eyes that are a little buggy-looking in the cutest way, giving her a constant look of curiosity and charm. Penny originally came to us from a local vet office, though we don't know the circumstances surrounding her surrender. She's an energetic girl who loves exploring, especially if snacks are involved! Penny is very food motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training and bonding. While she can be a little aloof and marches to the beat of her own drum, she has a fun, lovable personality that grows on you quickly. Penny also feels strongly that bath time is unnecessary. She has done well meeting other dogs and cats here at the shelter, and we think she would likely do just fine in a home with kids as well. Another bonus? Penny keeps her kennel impressively clean, so we believe she is likely housebroken!
Ideal Home
Penny would do well in a home that appreciates her unique personality and her love for treats. She has shown to get along with other dogs, cats, and potentially children.
