Boots is an adorable 1.5-year-old lab/terrier mix with a gentle spirit. He was rescued from the streets of Mexico. Don't let the shy eyes fool you-Boots is a professional (and harmless) prankster. True to his name, he has a curious obsession with footwear. Rather than chewing them, he prefers to carefully "relocate" his humans' shoes to secret spots around the house. It's his way of saying, "Stay home and play with me!" When he's not busy with his interior decorating, you can find him frolicking through the yard with a puppy-like joy that is absolutely infectious. Boots arrived from Mexico with a quiet spirit and a cautious heart. While he's still learning that the big, wide world isn't so scary, his progress is nothing short of inspiring. He has traded the crate for the plush comfort of a real bed. He's nearly mastered house training (a doggy door is his best friend!) and is already showing off his intelligence by mastering "sit" and coming running the moment he hears his name. Boots is a fan favorite among other dogs! He finds confidence in the pack. While he's a bit wary of men and loud noises on walks, a patient hand and a pocket full of treats go a long way in winning his lifelong devotion.
