Auggie of FL (aka Alfredo)

Auggie, who also goes by Alfredo, is an 8-year-old American Eskimo mix weighing around 23 pounds. He was found as a stray in Kentucky, and while we don't know his history, we've learned he's a very affectionate boy who wants to be with his humans at all times. He's a curious fellow, and while he's shown interest in cats, he hasn't bothered the ones in his foster home. Auggie is a fantastic companion, easily using doggie stairs to hop into bed and enjoying couch time. He's also a pro at leash walking, good in the car, and house-trained, letting you know when he needs to go outside.

Ideal Home

Auggie would likely prefer to be the only dog in the home, as he seems to want to be the 'only child.' He's not to be an outdoor dog.

Ongoing Health

Auggie is currently on a prescription canned food to manage urine crystals, which he enjoys. He has a prescription for this readily available food, which is available at pet stores and Chewy. He does best with soft and canned foods because he had severe periodontal disease in the past, resulting in the removal of most of his teeth. He's sure to feel much better now!

Training & Support

Like many Eskies, Auggie can be vocal and a little demanding when he wants something. He loves his food and even enjoys frozen green beans as a treat!

Transportation

Auggie is currently being fostered in Florida. We can potentially transport him to adopters in neighboring states, with local applications being processed first. If you are further away, you will need to make special arrangements for transport at your own expense.
