Rosie

Meet Rosie! She's a sweet girl who's dog and kid friendly and will be available for adoption in late July. Rosie is a Great Pyrenees, and before applying, it's crucial to thoroughly research the breed. They can be stubborn, prone to barking, and overly protective, and it's important to know they cannot be reliably trained off-leash.

Ideal Home

Rosie would thrive in a home with a visible fence. We generally avoid placing Pyrs in same-sex households, as they typically do not do well with other dogs of the same sex.

Ongoing Health

Rosie will be spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heartworm tested, microchipped, and will have a current health certificate.

Training & Support

Great Pyrenees can be stubborn and are known to bark. They are also prone to being overly protective. It's important to understand that you will not be able to train a Pyr to respect boundaries. Rosie will also require proof of a basic obedience course completed within six months of adoption as part of her contract.

• Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
• Your vet and two references will be called.
• A virtual home visit will be conducted.
• If approved, a meet and greet at the farm will take place.
• The adoption fee for adult dogs is $500.
• An adoption contract will be signed and the adoption fee paid upon finalization.
