Fernando

Meet Fernando, a gentle and quiet 11-year-old senior Italian Greyhound who is searching for a cozy spot on your couch and a special place in your heart. Fernando has a sweet disposition and would make a wonderful companion for a peaceful and quiet home. He's a bit shy, and may even seem aloof at first, so he'll need a patient person who understands Italian Greyhounds and is willing to give him the time he needs to feel comfortable and secure in his new environment. Fernando is leash-trained and can sleep in a crate, though he'd much prefer to be snuggled up with his people.

Ideal Home

Fernando would thrive in a low-key household that can continue to work on his potty habits, as he's still learning. He could be a wonderful only dog, but another confident Italian Greyhound in the home would also be a great fit for him. Fernando does not do well with toddlers or young children, but older, patient kids and teens may be okay. Experience with sight hounds is a must.

Fernando is up to date on his vaccines and has had a dental cleaning.

Training & Support

Fernando is working on his potty habits and is smart and catching on quickly. He's looking for a patient household that can offer consistency and positive reinforcement.
