Sunshine

Just a little ray of sunshine!

Sunshine is a one-year-old Labrador/Boxer mix who came into our care as a stray in October 2025. Although she had a registered owner, no one came back for her, so she became ours and has been winning hearts ever since. Sunshine is very smart and eager to learn. She is currently a Project Dog, which means a dedicated shelter employee spends extra time with her every single day working on training, confidence, and giving her the one-on-one attention that helps dogs shine. That staff member absolutely adores her, and Sunshine returns the favor by being a constant source of smiles and good moods. She’s the kind of dog who makes even an ordinary day better just by being part of it. She has lived in a home before, so we believe she is housebroken. Sunshine is an active girl who loves being outside, enjoys toys, and is always happy to meet new people. She’s dog friendly, but would like to meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption to make sure everyone is a good fit.

Ongoing Health

Sunshine is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She will be spayed upon adoption.

Training & Support

Sunshine is smart and eager to learn. She is currently working on training and confidence through our Project Dog program. We believe she is housebroken from her previous home.
