TAWNY

Tawny is a 6-year-old, spayed female Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love to give. She can be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up and adores gentle attention. Tawny loves being by her human's side and enjoys relaxing at home. She's also an adventurous spirit who loves exploring the outdoors at a steady pace. Tawny has made great progress since arriving at the shelter, going from fearful to seeking out pets. She walks wonderfully on a leash, and with patience and time, she'll blossom into an even more confident companion.

Ideal Home

Tawny would thrive in a calm home environment where she'll be given the time and space she needs to adjust and feel safe.

Ongoing Health

Tawny has pelvic limb paresis, meaning she has weakness in her rear legs. While this might affect her mobility on longer or more strenuous activities, it doesn't stop her adventurous spirit on walks. Maintaining a slower walking pace is recommended.

Training & Support

Tawny is a leash-walking pro! As she's still gaining confidence, positive reinforcement and gentle guidance will help her continue to thrive. Building trust through quiet activities like walks in a shady spot will be perfect for her.
