Meet our sweetest Anika! Anika is a total love bug with the sweetest, most gentle heart. At just 10-months old, she's already been through more than most puppies her age, having spent her entire life in a shelter. Despite that, she absolutely adores people and is so quick to trust - especially if there Is even the tiniest bit of affection involved. Since starting her foster journey just a couple of weeks ago, Anika has amazed everyone with her resilience and courage. Her world has grown so quickly and she's embraced it with such a willing spirit. She is now crate-trained, house-trained, and learning her leash skills with the support of training tools. She's making wonderful progress every day and walks great on leash! Anika is currently living in a small apartment and has proven herself to be a wonderfully considerate companion. She's quiet, respectful of neighbours, does great in elevators, and has had zero accidents in her foster home. More than anything, Anika is incredibly affectionate. She lives for love and connection and will happily soak up all the cuddles you have to offer. If your'e looking for a loyal, kind, and curious companion with so much love to give, Anika just might be your perfect match.
Ideal Home
Anika would do best as the only dog in the home. While she hasn't yet been tested with cats or very young children, she has shown calm and gentle behaviour around children she's encountered on walks and in elevators.
Ongoing Health
Because of her extended time in a shelter, Anika is still building strength in her hind legs, which means she prefers shorter walks compared to other dogs her age and size. She also has a sensitive stomach, which is well-managed with vet-approved food. She has been doing great as long as her diet is consistent.
Training & Support
Anika is crate-trained, house-trained, and learning her leash skills with the support of training tools. She's making wonderful progress every day and walks great on leash!
