Meet Axel Rose! This handsome Basenji/Terrier mix is about 26lbs and was estimated to be born around April 5, 2024. Axel is a loyal sidekick with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. Axel loves other dogs of all sizes and enjoys making new canine friends. He has a unique way of introducing himself, letting you know he'd love some attention with his happy barks, which quickly turn into tail wags and affection once he's noticed. Axel is potty trained and enjoys relaxing on the couch or running zoomies in the backyard. He was found abandoned in an empty apartment, but despite his past, Axel remains incredibly loving, trusting, and ready to find a family who will cherish him forever. We don't know how Axel feels about cats yet, but he can be tested for interested adopters. Axel is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Transportation
Axel is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in the adoption fee. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles. You will be able to track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. You must be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
