Bullseye is a 6.5-month-old, male Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He is the biggest pup in his litter but also the most introverted, often observing before joining in the fun. Rescued from the woods with his mom and siblings, Bullseye has grown up in a loving foster home and is described as gentle, thoughtful, and calm. He enjoys playtime, belly rubs, cuddles, and is generally good-natured. Bullseye is potty trained, though a few accidents may occur as he adjusts to a new home. He is crate-trained and is working on leash walking and basic obedience. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has done well with children, but his experience with cats is unknown. Bullseye is looking for a committed family to help him continue to mature into a well-adjusted adult dog.
Ideal Home
Bullseye would thrive in a home that can provide ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice. He would benefit greatly from a home with another friendly, well-mannered dog to act as a mentor. Homes without another dog should have a clear plan for continued socialization and canine interaction. Due to his age, homes where someone is not routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time are preferred.
Ongoing Health
Bullseye is a young, growing dog and is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been dewormed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Bullseye is potty trained and crate-trained. He is continuing to build confidence with leash walking and basic obedience. Ongoing socialization, positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice are recommended for his continued development.
