Beau

Beau is a handsome and friendly 1-year-old mixed breed, weighing in at 61 pounds. We think he might have some Flat-Coated Retriever in him with that gorgeous black and brindle coat! Beau arrived at our rescue as a stray, found wandering near a workplace with a torn leash still attached to his collar. It's clear he's ready for a stable and loving home.

Ideal Home

Beau would thrive in an active household where he can get plenty of exercise through long walks, runs, or playtime in a yard or dog park. He enjoys his nightly walks which help him settle down for bed. Beau would love a house with a yard.

Ongoing Health

Beau is a healthy boy with a soft coat that doesn't shed much, though regular brushing is recommended. He's been good about grooming.

Training & Support

Beau is fully house-trained and has had no accidents. He knows "sit" and "down" and is working on his fetch game – he'll bring the ball back, but giving it up is a work in progress! Beau is a bit of a "counter surfer" and tends to "borrow" items he finds, so keeping tempting things out of reach is key. He needs ongoing decompression work, including enrichment activities like sniff walks, lick mats, and puzzle feeders.

Transporation

Beau is currently located at our facility. We offer transportation to approved adopters within a 150-mile radius.
