Elijah

Elijah is a handsome young male German Shepherd mix who found himself in our care when his previous owner could no longer keep him. He's a sweet boy who is learning to navigate the world with confidence. Elijah has been enjoying playtime with other puppies at his foster home, though he can be a bit dominant and plays roughly. He's also timid and can be afraid in new situations, so he'll need some gentle socialization and encouragement to build his confidence. Elijah will be up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped before he heads to his forever home.

Ideal Home

Elijah would thrive in a home that understands the needs of a growing, potentially dominant dog. Due to his timid nature and rough play style, Elijah absolutely cannot go to a home with young children, cats, or small dogs. A securely fenced yard is a must for Elijah to safely explore and play. A veterinary reference will be required to ensure a responsible pet owner.

Ongoing Health

Elijah is being neutered, microchipped, and will be up-to-date on his vaccinations prior to adoption.

Training & Support

Elijah needs patience and consistent positive reinforcement to help him gain confidence and learn appropriate social skills. He would benefit from continued socialization and training to help him overcome his timidity in new situations.
