Meet Venus! This 5-year-old, 45 lb spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix is a sweet and affectionate girl who will absolutely melt your heart. Venus is calm, people-oriented, and happy to match your energy, whether that means lounging on the couch or embarking on an outdoor adventure. She loves to gently rest her head on your lap and gaze at you like you're her whole world. Venus enjoys play sessions with other dogs, especially backyard zoomies and wrestling. She also adores toys and playing with her humans. If there's water involved, Venus is your girl! She’ll splash around with joy in a kiddie pool or a stream. Venus rides great in the car, making her the perfect companion for road trips or park visits.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family. A home without cats is recommended, or one with very dog-savvy cats. While she hasn't met young children, she might do well in a family with older, respectful kids.

Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She can pull on the leash but is learning quickly and is very food motivated. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites from other dogs' meals.

Transportation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. Out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks, and approved adopters will be placed on the next available transport.
