Duncan

Duncan is a sweet, approximately one-year-old, 19-pound boy with a whole lot of love to give! He's a typical happy-go-lucky mixed breed with a strong Chihuahua influence, always eager for playtime and affection. Duncan adores his squeaky toys and cherishes his petting and attention time. He's a quiet and well-behaved companion who seems pretty house-trained and walks nicely on a leash, though he'd benefit from a little more training to perfect those skills.

Ideal Home

Duncan would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of attention and playtime. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs. We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of 8 years.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms upon rescue and has successfully completed treatment. We typically see dogs test negative within 4 to 6 months after treatment. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is already quite well-behaved and mostly house-trained, but he could use a bit more leash training to become a pro. He's a smart boy who is eager to please, so he'll do great with continued positive reinforcement.
