Diggie Doodlebug Hoverfluff looks like a tiny, scruffy muppet, a 11 lb bundle of love with a perfect button nose and the sweetest disposition. Estimated to be around 4 years old, this Shih Tzu mix is a sensitive soul who forms deep attachments to his people. He's a playful companion once he's comfortable, loves his toys, and has a funny habit of dramatically digging through dog beds. Diggie is a true relationship-first dog who thrives when given time to settle in at his own pace, revealing a hilarious, loving, and toy-obsessed friend underneath his adorable grey fur.
Ideal Home
Diggie would truly thrive in a home with children, as he already loves kids. He can also do well with calm, easygoing dogs after slow introductions, and has lived with cats successfully. A home with a secure yard would be ideal as he is still building confidence with leash walking.
Ongoing Health
Diggie is up to date on all vetting, which includes DAPP vaccination with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Diggie is not currently leash trained but is practicing with his foster. He finds crates stressful, and his foster does not use one, noting he is trustworthy in the home. Diggie is a relationship-first dog, and patience will be key to helping him settle in and build confidence.

Diggie is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A transportation surcharge of $87 applies.
