Groot is the Head of the Welcome Committee and Self-Appointed Assistant Manager of your household! This 45-pound, long-legged goober is equal parts backyard explorer, quality control specialist, and morale officer. He walks through life with an infectious, unearned confidence that's impossible not to love. His enormous ears are always listening, and he’s always ready to supervise your every move, from breakfast preparation to mail retrieval. Groot is a backyard enthusiast, a dedicated squirrel compliance officer, and a master of the sudden zoomies. He absolutely adores other dogs and truly blossoms with canine companionship. We’d love to see him in a home with a playful dog buddy to share his adventures and cuddles. For a dog with such important duties, Groot has impeccable manners. He’s fully house and crate trained, knows many commands, and responds beautifully to praise. He’ll even gently place his toys in your lap, not for attention, but simply because he thought you might like it. Groot is sweet, playful, and genuinely funny. He’s the kind of dog who quietly changes your life, becoming the reason you smile when you get home and the best friend you didn’t know you were missing.
Ideal Home
Groot would thrive in a home with another playful dog to be his companion. We recommend homes with children 10 years and older to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Training & Support
Groot is fully house trained, crate trained, and knows sit, lay down, give paw, "go eat," "go outside," and "go for a walk." He learns quickly and responds well to praise.

Transporation
Groot is currently being fostered in MA and can be transported to his forever home. Transports depart each week.
