Jeffery

Jeffery is a 2-3 year old, male Staffordshire Terrier mix weighing approximately 90-95lbs. He's a gentle giant with people and absolutely loves cuddles and lounging on the couch for movie nights. Jeffery was unfortunately dumped at the Dallas shelter and may have previously been a "junkyard dog." Despite his past, he's a super loving boy who is crate trained and potty trained. He's also heartworm negative and up-to-date on all his shots. Jeffery knows his commands and is very sensitive; if you raise your voice during walks, he'll back up and sit by your side.

Ideal Home

Jeffery would do best as the only dog in the home, as he does not like other male dogs and his compatibility with female dogs is questionable. He can live with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children (12 years or older). He enjoys leisurely walks and hanging out but is not suited for running or hiking. He would not be a good fit for a dog park environment. NO tie outs or electric fences are permitted.

Ongoing Health

Jeffery is heartworm negative and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Jeffery is crate trained and potty trained. He is sensitive to raised voices, so positive reinforcement and gentle communication will be key to building his trust and confidence.

Jeffery is currently in a foster home located in Fort Worth, TX. Transport will be arranged by our rescue post-adoption.
