Moose is a handsome 3-year-old Terrier mix with a striking red merle coat that makes him look like a work of art! This 62lb charmer came to us as a stray after a previous owner surrendered him due to landlord issues. It’s believed he was then rehomed and subsequently abandoned near a school. Moose is a resilient boy who deserves a loving and permanent home. He’s a bit of a paradox, sometimes acting like a cat while other times forgetting his size and thinking he’s a lap dog!
Ideal Home
Moose prefers to be an independent boy, though he does get along with other dogs. If you have a canine companion at home, we recommend proper introductions. He absolutely adores meeting new people and is good with older children (10+).
Ongoing Health
Moose is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Moose is great on a leash and eager to please. He hasn't shown any problematic behaviors, but as with any dog, continued positive reinforcement will help him thrive.

Transporation
Moose is currently located at HSSM. We offer transportation for $300 (which includes his adoption fee, spay/neuter, vaccines, and microchip) to locations in CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of application approval. Adopters will meet at a designated spot to pick up their new family member.
