About Baker Buddy the Bestest Boy
Oh my gosh, Baker Buddy is just the bestest boy! He's one of those dogs that is so naturally sweet and easy to be around that you find yourself smiling every time you look at him. He's happy without being wild, playful without being over-the-top, affectionate without being clingy, and somehow manages to make friends wherever he goes. Add in his adorable smile and sweet baby face, and you've got a dog that's pretty hard not to fall in love with.
Baker Buddy is approximately 1 year old, weighs around 46 lbs, and we believe he may be a Pittie/Lab mix. He has a sweet, innocent, happy-go-lucky way about him that makes everything seem exciting. Whether he's carrying around a squeaky toy, exploring the yard, making a new friend, or getting a treat, he approaches life with so much enthusiasm that it's hard not to smile right along with him.
Baker is dog friendly and has done great with every dog we've introduced him to. He's a social guy and genuinely enjoys making new friends. He loves to play and has a gentle play style that makes him easy to get along with. Chase games are definitely one of his favorites, and while he'll engage in a little wrestling every now and then, he's not the rough-and-rowdy type. He's just a sweet boy who wants everyone to have a good time. While he enjoys having dog friends, he doesn't strike us as a dog that needs another dog in the home to be happy. He'd happily live with a playful canine sibling, but he'd be just as content being your one and only and soaking up all of your attention. Baker seems pretty convinced that people are the greatest thing ever. He also met our house cat and was very respectful around him. He did not chase our cat, nor was he bothered by our cat's actions. Our cat seemed to feel comfortable around Baker as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat, and this was our first time seeing him with a cat.
Ideal Home
We think Baker would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he has room to stretch his legs and enjoy all of his favorite activities. We haven't had the opportunity to see Baker with children yet, but we can absolutely arrange a kid test upon request.

Training & Support
Baker is a smart boy who loves treats and enjoys learning. He already knows how to sit, is eager to please, and will be a lot of fun for someone who enjoys continuing training with their dog. Baker wants to engage with his people and genuinely seems to enjoy working alongside them. He walks fairly well on leash too. Every now and then his excitement gets the best of him and he'll pull a little, but he's very easy to redirect and responds nicely to correction. With some continued practice, structure, and consistency, he'll be walking like a gentleman in no time. Baker is crate trained, potty trained, and already has a wonderful foundation. He's the type of dog that feels like he's ready to jump right into family life.
