Charlie, big hearted boy- foster to adopt

Meet Charlie! This 2-year-old, 50 lb Boxer/Pittie mix is a big-hearted boy with a playful spirit and a whole lot of love to give. Charlie is a sensitive soul who notices everything and sometimes needs a little extra time to warm up to new people and experiences. But once he trusts you, his affectionate and loyal personality shines brighter than the sun! He loves to be included in whatever you're doing, whether it's exploring a trail or just relaxing together. Charlie enjoys "sniff walks" and can get quite invested in investigating all the fascinating scents around him. He also loves playing with toys and has enjoyed the company of gentle canine friends in his foster home, which has helped him build confidence and social skills.

Ideal Home

Charlie is looking for a patient, kind, and committed adopter who enjoys training, enrichment, and outdoor adventures. He could do well with another gentle dog and has experience being around school-age children. A home with a securely fenced yard is a must, as Charlie is athletic and can jump a four-foot fence. If a six-foot fence isn't possible, adopters must be fully committed to leash walking and thoughtful outdoor management to ensure his safety.

Charlie is up to date on his vaccinations and is thriving with continued training and enrichment.

Training & Support

Charlie is house-trained and crate-trained. He is good on a leash, and his harness will come with him. His main "challenge" on walks is his enthusiasm for sniffing, which can sometimes lead to him lingering a bit longer than expected.
