Levi

Levi is an 85-pound Husky mix with a big heart that's still learning to feel safe. He can be pretty anxious around new people and unfamiliar places, so he needs a family that will be patient and let him warm up at his own pace. Levi is naturally a little independent and can seem unsure of the world around him, especially when things happen too quickly. When he's left alone, he's not shy about letting everyone know how he feels with his classic Husky vocals. Even though he's nervous, Levi is a very sweet boy with so much love to give once he learns to trust.

When Levi is outside, his playful side starts to shine, and he'll surprise you with goofy Husky zoomies and bursts of energy. He absolutely loves butt scratches and becomes so excited when he's comfortable enough to play and enjoy time with his people.

Ideal Home

Levi is looking for a home that can provide plenty of reassurance and confidence-building. He needs space for a large, active dog like him to thrive, so apartment living wouldn't be the right fit. He is happiest with room to move and explore.

Training & Support

Levi can be anxious and vocal when left alone. With patience, understanding, and lots of love, he will blossom into a loyal companion who will happily share every adventure by your side.

Levi is located at the Humane Society of The Black Hills in Rapid City, SD. Transport may be available to approved adopters.
