Behavior Notes: Per staff 5/28: Volunteer called on walkie needing help in Iso. Mama Wanda would not return to kennel. When I got back there, Mama was loose body, mid to low tail wags, ears back, soft eyes. Took chicken gently from my hand. When we got to her Iso room, ears were back and tail was low. Tossed in a treat and she went right in then backed her way out and was backing up on the leash, tail low and still, ears back, wider eyes. I took the leash from the volunteer and tossed in a treat which she went in for again and was able to close the door behind her and removed the leash using the clip method. Leveling up to Exp Gold

Per Volunteer 6/26/2026: She was jumping up on the door with a very wiggly body when I approached her kennel. She had soft eyes and submissive body posture. In the play yard she was extremely affectionate and was really only focused on me. She was pretty jumpy in trying to solicit pets from me. Once I got down on her level and was petting her she was very calm and really just soaking in love. Very loose body, soft eyes, slowly wagging tail. So unbelievably sweet and cuddly! Not overly treat motivated but takes them very gently out of my hand. On leash, she zigzags quite a bit as she just wants to get right back to you. Extremely handler oriented and super sweet young pup. Went back into her kennel very nicely - such a sweet and easy pup to handle!

Per Staff 6/20/2026: Kennel Presentation: Mamma was standing at the front of the kennel with a loose, wiggly body. She maintained a loose, low wagging tail, ears back, and soft eyes throughout the interaction.

Leash Skills: Walked on a loose leash. Jumped up once gently on the handler.

Sociability: Highly social with the handler; tolerant of full-body touching. When handler sat down, Mamma gently climbed into the lap with loose panting and soft, squinty eyes. Displayed enthusiastic whole-body wags toward passersby and showed heightened interest in two children who approached and spoke to her.

Play: did not do

Dog Interaction: Passed other dogs unfazed. When introduced to a dog through the fence, she was slightly tense and disengaged on her own. When the handler began interacting with that dog while Mamma was between them, she emitted a single low growl and moved away voluntarily.

Return to Kennel: easy
