Wilbur

Wilbur is a 4.5-month-old Black Mouth Cur mix puppy with a heart full of love and a boundless supply of puppy energy! He's about 20 pounds now, and we expect him to grow into a medium to large-sized companion. When Wilbur first arrived, he was underweight and had clearly faced some tough times. But now that he's safe and sound, his true, joyful personality has blossomed! He's playful, goofy, incredibly smart, and ready for adventure. Wilbur adores playing with flirt poles, roughhousing with other dogs, and anything that keeps his active mind engaged, like shredding cardboard boxes and puzzle toys. He's looking for an adopter who shares his zest for life and is committed to providing him with consistent training, structure, plenty of exercise, and mental enrichment.

Ideal Home

Wilbur would thrive in an active home that's prepared for the joys and challenges of puppyhood. He’s currently doing well with a cat in his foster home and would likely enjoy the company of other playful dogs. He is not a couch potato and needs a home that embraces a high-energy lifestyle.

Wilbur is healthy and happy. He was spayed Neutered and vaccinated before coming to us.

Training & Support

Wilbur is very food motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience! He's also a pro at tolerating nail trims and handling when treats are involved. He's eager to learn and will benefit from continued training and enrichment to keep his smart puppy brain busy.
