Kenzo

Kenzo is an incredibly affectionate, fully housetrained boy who absolutely thrives when he has another dog around. He is an ideal match for a family looking for a loyal, cuddly companion who is trustworthy with house-roaming privileges during the workday. Since arriving as a stray, Kenzo has sincerely blossomed, and we've gotten a really good read on his personality and habits. He is exceptionally loving, actively seeking out affection and truly "refuses to not be loved." Kenzo is highly human-focused and often described as a "velcro dog," following his humans around and loving to lay beside or directly on top of them during relaxing time. He is also excellent with sharing his toys and shows no observed guarding behaviors.

Training & Support

Kenzo is 100% housetrained and has had zero accidents when left home during standard 8-hour workdays. He has been trusted with full house-roaming privileges. He has mastered commands such as sit, paw, lay, wait, and eat. Currently, he is working on impulse control at the front door, as he has an overly excited habit of jumping on his humans when they return home from work. He loves to walk and does so very well on a leash, but handlers should be aware that he has a prey drive for small animals and must hold steady if he spots a squirrel or fox. His absolute favorite activities are chasing balls and playing with rope toys.

Transporation

Kenzo is in our foster program. We are able to transport him to approved adopters within a 2-hour radius of our main facility.
