Athena

Athena is a 10-year-old, golden-hearted Catahoula leopard dog mix with a ton of love to give! While her eyesight isn't what it used to be, she's still got a keen eye for squirrels and enjoys a good game of fetch. Athena walks beautifully on a leash and loves leisurely strolls, car rides, and snuggling up for movie nights. She's a calm and loving companion who enjoys the simple things in life.

Ideal Home

Athena would thrive in a home where she is the only dog, as other dogs can sometimes startle her. She enjoys meeting new people, especially if they have a treat! While she's gentle, very young or boisterous children might be a bit much for her. An older, calm, and respectful child would be a good fit. A home setting with a fenced-in yard is ideal so she can safely explore and enjoy her mornings. She has excellent house manners and prefers not to be crated.

Ongoing Health

Athena's vision is not as sharp as it once was. She is potty-trained, but requires regular opportunities to relieve herself every few hours.

Training & Support

Athena has impeccable leash manners and is house-trained. She does not enjoy being crated.
