Doobie

My name is Doobie, and I'm a beautiful, young boy with an old soul at heart! I love everyone I meet and would be thrilled to have a canine companion to share my days with. I also dream of a safely fenced yard (no invisible fencing, please!) where I can safely romp and play. I'm very eager to please and am a quick study, so I'm learning new things every day! I'm about a year and a half old and weigh around 60 lbs. My rescue friends think I'm a mix of Lab and Hound, but wouldn't it be fun to do a DNA test once I'm part of your family?

Ideal Home

A home with another dog to play with and a large, safely fenced yard is a must. I get a little too excited and pull on the leash when I see squirrels or deer, and I tend to jump up on people because I love them so much. For these reasons, I might not be the best fit for an older, frail person or a family with very young children.

Ongoing Health

I've been neutered, immunized, and microchipped. I've also had negative heartworm tests. I'm all set to come home with you!

Training & Support

I need a little work on leash manners, especially around distractions like squirrels and deer. I also tend to jump up when excited, so continued training to curb this behavior will be beneficial.
