Oscar

Oscar is a sweet, approximately 1-year-old male Labrador mix who weighs about 32 lbs. He has a joyful spirit and a big heart, instantly building trust with everyone he meets, including children, men, and women. Oscar loves being around people and enjoys playtime with other dogs. His friendly personality makes him incredibly easy to fall in love with.

Ideal Home

Oscar would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a home with a fenced backyard and a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the needs of street animals. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential. He is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Oscar has a small neurological tic due to distemper, which is noticeable when he is resting. This condition does not affect his happy life or loving nature. He has undergone spay/neuter, received DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and is microchipped. He has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX, and is on monthly preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are available.

Training & Support

Oscar is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and will need time to adapt to a new environment. Patience, a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries will help build trust and strengthen the bond.

Transportation

Oscar is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time fee of $400 USD. Transport is scheduled via organized trips with a partnered transport company that handles all necessary legal documents, including a USDA health certificate. Real-time updates will be provided throughout the journey.
