Zac is a charming 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing around 60 pounds. He's a neutered male who was rescued from a county shelter and has since undergone FHO surgery on a back leg to correct an old injury. The surgery was successful, and Zac has made a full recovery with no ongoing medical needs or medications. He's a loyal and loving companion with a wonderful balance of playful energy and a desire for cuddles. Zac enjoys spending time with other dogs, is house-trained and crate-trained, and loves to be near his people. He's also quite the conversationalist, especially when treats are involved! While he has done well meeting new people and is becoming more comfortable with car rides, his foster believes he would do best in a home that can continue teaching him not to jump up when excited.
Ideal Home
Zac thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where he won't be left alone for long periods. He enjoys having other dogs around or people nearby to share his life with.
Ongoing Health
Zac has fully recovered from his FHO surgery and has no ongoing health issues or medication requirements.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. He is learning not to jump up when excited and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training in this area.
