Smiley Wiley The Hugging Smile Machine

This handsome, fluffy boy named Smiley Wiley is a showstopper with a personality to match! He's athletic, loyal, and ready for adventure, then happy to relax when the day is done. Wiley is approximately 1 year old and weighs 65 lbs, believed to be a German Shepherd mix. He truly gives bear hugs and will undoubtedly brighten your day with his affectionate nature.

Ideal Home

Wiley would thrive in a home with a confident female dog who enjoys playful, rowdy interactions as well as quiet downtime. He also does best with older children, around 15 years and up, who can understand and respect his need for space. He would do well with 1-2 children of this age. A big backyard for him to explore and enjoy the sunshine would be ideal. He is not a fan of cats.

Ongoing Health

Wiley is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has also been heartworm tested and treated if necessary, and microchipped with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Wiley is a smart boy who responds well to confident leadership and structure. He knows basic commands like sit, down, and wait, and is very treat-motivated. He enjoys making eye contact and is eager to please, making him a great candidate for further training. Having another confident dog in the home will help build his confidence in new situations.

Wiley is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide and can transport pets to various drop-off locations, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Transport is available, with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters.
