Stella

Meet Stella! This gorgeous girl is the Mom to the Gilmore Girls – Emily, Lorelai, and Rory. Stella was found by her foster family in an abandoned trailer after just having given birth to 7 puppies. She was a dedicated mother for the first few months, but once her pups became more independent, she was ready for a break! Stella now enjoys solo yard time and human attention. She's a 2-year-old long-haired German Shepherd mix with many typical shepherd qualities, like a desire to please, smarts, and a love for food. However, she does show some dog reactivity.

Ideal Home

Stella is looking for a home where she can be the only dog, though she may be okay with a calm, same-size or larger male companion. She craves personal attention and affection.

Ongoing Health

Stella was heartworm positive upon arrival and has been treated. She is awaiting clearance of medication before her spay surgery, which is scheduled for early July.

Training & Support

Stella is eager to learn and would thrive with a handler willing to teach her new tricks and manners. She can be a bit of a food enthusiast and may do "sketchy stuff" for treats.
