About Sadie

Sadie is a playful and energetic young girl with a gentle heart. She is about 1 year and 3 months old and weighs approximately 26.5 lbs. Sadie can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but with patience and kind affection, she quickly begins to relax and show her sweet personality. She loves to run, play, and especially enjoys hugs and cuddles once she feels safe. Sadie is joyful, loving, and full of energy. She was rescued in October 2024 with her siblings after being found abandoned outside a school. She has been waiting for her chance to experience life in a loving home.

Ideal Home

Sadie would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, an open mind about the behaviors of street animals and their need for protection and education, and experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are also a must. Sadie is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Sadie has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated with DHPPI and Rabies, and received a Bordetella vaccine. She has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested for 4DX and heartworm (results were negative). She is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Sadie is not house-trained. It's essential to understand that rescued dogs may have experienced trauma and require an adjustment period. Patience, understanding, providing a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine and clear boundaries are crucial to help Sadie build trust and feel secure.
