Jupiter is a delightful Carolina Dog mix, estimated to be around 4 years old and weighing 40lbs. This smart and loving girl is looking for a special home to call her own. Jupiter was rescued by Furever After Rescue after living as a stray for her first two years. While she shows no signs of mistreatment, she can be a bit skittish around new people and prefers to have an escape route when feeling overwhelmed. She is house-trained and crate-trained, though she's not a fan of crates due to her past experiences. Jupiter does well with male dogs and can be cat-tested upon request. Ideal Home
Jupiter would thrive in a home without young children due to her size and background. She needs a family that can provide plenty of love and attention, and she would love to sleep in the bed with her humans, rewarding them with sweet cuddles. She enjoys walks but needs daily exercise through vigorous play sessions. A home where her humans are not gone for more than 40 hours a week would be ideal.

Jupiter is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on preventatives.
Training & Support
Jupiter is very smart and knows "high five," "regular five," "double five" (a ten!), "no," "sit," and "speak." She is currently working on "lie down." She can be a bit wild when playing and uses her mouth; while not aggressive, she might nip if your hand is too close to her tug rope. She also has a compact, tank-like build and may jump when excited during play, which can feel the impact of her weight and nails. Consistency with her schedule for eating and potty breaks will help her thrive.
