Hot Chocolate (I Have a Secret Crush!)

We've known Hot Chocolate since he was just a baby, and we've always been fond of him. Adopted as a puppy, he was returned as an adult when the remaining family members felt they no longer had the energy to give him the life he deserved. This is why we will always take our pets back: we know there's a better fit out there, and we believe we can find it for Hot Chocolate. He needs help catching up on some of the socialization and confidence building he missed out on. When you first meet him, Hot Chocolate is shy, but at the same time really, really wants to connect with you. He looks at you right in the eye, imploring you to notice him, to be his friend. Hot Chocolate has had to come back to us a couple of times, and we suspect his bubble was too small early on; he was taken care of but maybe under-socialized and undertrained. That said, he is smart and loyal and protective of his friends, and he has a huge heart. He's extremely treat-motivated and has learned some of his basic skills. Hot Chocolate would love to find a match who can see his potential. Someone who is up for the challenge of helping him catch up on his social skills and rebuilding his confidence. In return, you will be getting a beautiful, sweet companion who will soak up every good thing you offer him.

Ideal Home

Hot Chocolate needs to be the only dog in his home and needs an adult home while he's working on his social skills.
