Milky Way

Milky Way is a charming 8.6 lb Chihuahua boy, born on January 10, 2026. He's a playful, happy soul who loves to run and enjoy life. Milky Way is affectionate, social, and always ready to join in on the fun. He's generally quiet and not much of a barker, but his sweet personality speaks volumes. He sleeps comfortably in an open crate at night, which he views as his safe space. Like many young dogs, he's curious and enjoys chewing, so he'll need some patient guidance as he matures. Milky Way and his siblings were born into difficult circumstances where their care became a burden. Thankfully, they were rescued and given a second chance. Now, Milky Way is safe and loved, and he's searching for a forever family to share his endless devotion with.

Ongoing Health

Milky Way has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive. He also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet. Please be aware that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period due to past trauma, and patience is crucial.

Training & Support

Milky Way is not house-trained and will require patient guidance as he matures and learns. As with all rescued pets, he may have fears and anxieties that need time and understanding to overcome. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will help him feel secure.

• Please submit photos and videos of your home to ensure a safe environment for your future furry friend.
• If there's a match, we'll arrange a call or video chat to introduce you to the pet and conduct a virtual home tour.
• We'll then speak with 1-2 of your references.
• Upon approval, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, vaccinations, microchipping, and food.

Transportation

Milky Way is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip if adopted. We offer door-to-door delivery, with scheduled trips 3-4 times a year. Our contracted transport company will escort pets across the border into Texas for U.S. adoptions, or to the U.S.-Canada border for Canadian adoptions, with all necessary legal documents and health certificates. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers the journey. We'll provide real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group, and the transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
