Meet Kai, a delightful 4-year-old shepherd mix who weighs around 47 pounds. Kai is a bundle of pure joy, eager to share her boundless enthusiasm with her new family. She's currently being fostered in San Antonio, Texas, but don't let that deter you – transportation is available to approved adopters!

Ideal Home

Kai would thrive in an active household where she can enjoy running, playing, and socializing. She's a dog who loves to make friends, both with other dogs of all sizes and with people of all ages. She's done wonderfully with children and enjoys their affection and attention. Loud noises or storms can make her a little nervous, but with love and reassurance, she settles in well.

Ongoing Health

Kai is a healthy girl. As with any rescue dog, we recommend continued monitoring by your veterinarian.

Training & Support

Kai is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She might pull slightly on the leash when she sees another dog, as she's just excited to meet them! She's also comfortable being left out unattended, though crating a new dog initially to help them acclimate is always recommended.
